Ever since we started beekeeping, I’ve been using our honey to sweeten all of our recipes that usually require sugar.  It’s such an easy swap, and I love that we get to enjoy our honey straight from the hive!  These homemade popsicles have the perfect amount of sweetness, and they are perfect to cool us down on a hot summer day.  You can use any type of fruit or berry, but we especially love to make these during our local strawberry season!  We hope you enjoy!

Strawberry and Honey Popsicles

If you are looking for an easy popsicle to make yourself with no added sugar, we’ve got one for you to try!  These popsicles are sweetened with our honey – so delicious!

  • Author: Marlin Orchards & Garden Centre

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups of strawberries, halved
3/4 cup of plain yogurt
1/4 cup of Marlin honey

Instructions

Place strawberries in the blender and add about 1/8 cup of water.  Blend until smooth.  Set aside.  Next, in a separate bowl, mix together the yogurt and honey.  In a popsicle mold, divide half of the yogurt mix into each popsicle section.  Then add half of the strawberry puree to each section.  Repeat the layers of yogurt and strawberries one more time, until the popsicle mold sections are full.  Finally, use a knife to swirl the layers together in the molds.  Place the sticks (or popsicle sticks) in the popsicle molds, and put in the freezer.  Once they have froze, run the mold under warm water to remove the popsicles.  Enjoy!
